Beauty Monday: Love and Hate

Pamiętacie notkę, w której pokazywałam Wam szminki, które zakupiłam w Polsce? Wreszcie przyszedł czas na napisanie o nich kilku słów, ponieważ po intensywnych testach mam nareszcie możliwość dokładnej oceny. Wszystkie trzy produkty skusiły mnie kolorami, jednak po pierwszym zachwycie przyszedł czas na gorzkie rozczarowanie... tak, w przypadku całej trójki.  W wirze ostatnich porządków zapodziałam gdzieś rachunek z Rossmanna, więc nie jestem w stanie podać Wam konkretnych cen (pamiętam tylko, że Astor była w promocji) :-)

Mocny odcień szminki Astor 008 Spicy na pewno nie jest typowym, letnim kolorem, jednak ja nigdy nie przejmuję się takimi zasadami i noszę to, na co akurat mam ochotę :-) Spicy przypomina ciemne wino wpadające w fiolet - na moich ustach mogliście ją zobaczyć już TUTAJ. Opakowanie jest solidne i miłe dla oka, a zapach przywodzi na myśl klasyczne, babcine kosmetyki z lekką kwiatową nutą. Jej niewątpliwą zaletą jest łatwość aplikacji, możliwość stopniowania koloru (od delikatnego zabarwienia ust po efekt kobiety-wampira!) oraz półmatowe wykończenie, którego, co najśmieszniejsze, w ogóle nie widać po wypróbowaniu na dłoni. Spicy miała wszystkie szanse, aby stać się moją szminką numer jeden tego lata. To, co ją zdyskwalifikowało to fakt, że bardzo przesusza i ściąga usta, powodując uczucie dyskomfortu. Schodzi równomiernie, ale pozostaje w zagłębieniach, co daje bardzo nieestetyczny efekt popękanych, zakrwawionych ust. Jest dobra tylko wtedy, kiedy wychodzę z domu na krótko lub mam cierpliwość co chwila zerkać w lusterko i nanosić poprawki - noszę ją jednak często, bo jej kolor jest niesamowity.

I know that the dark shade of Astor 008 Spicy is definitely not a typical summertime colour but I don't care about it since I always wear what I want to and not what I should wear :-) Spicy looks like a deep wine colour mixed with a bit of violet and you've already seen it on my lips on the photos HERE. I like its nice and classy packaging and a bit oldchool, floral scent. What is great about this lipstick is that it's really easy to put on the lips and that you can easily build up the colour depending on your mood: you can just tint the lips or put on more layers and get the sexy vampire look. It has a semi-matte finish that I absolutely love! But what I hate about Spicy is that it dries my lips in seconds and when it goes away it gets into the wrinkles of my lips creating an awful look of crackled skin. I must always carry around a pocket mirror with me and check all the time if it still looks good, and that's really annoying.

La teinte foncée d'Astor 008 Spicy n'est pas spécifiquement faite pour l'été mais personnellement je porte toujours les couleurs sur mes lèvres en fonction de mes humeurs (ICI) et pas des tendances du moment. C'est une couleur bordeaux qui va vers le violet et qu'on peut appliquer en une couche fine pour un effet de lèvres légèrement teintées ou en plusieurs couches pour obtenir un fini opaque. J'aime son parfum à l'ancienne et le fini demi-mat. Mais je déteste le fait qu'il dessèche les lèvres très vite et qu'en disparaissant il reste incrusté dans les rides: c'est dégueulasse ! L'effet "lèvres saignantes" garanti. 

Kolor Maybelline 345 Plum Sunrise jest zdecydowanie ciemniejszy i bardziej wpadający w fiolet, niż na powyższym zdjęciu, bardziej zbliżony do odcienia widocznego na mojej ręce. Szminka ma lekko pudrowy zapach i ładnie nawilża usta, jednocześnie je nabłyszczając. Nie da się jej jednak nałożyć cienką warstwą, ponieważ zamiast lekko zabarwić usta nakłada się nierównomiernie i wygląda mało estetycznie, dlatego można nosić ją tylko w pełnym natężeniu koloru. Szybko znika, ale to nie jest jej największy minus. Szminka zawiera masę drobinek, które, owszem, pięknie lśnią w słońcu, ale przy okazji mają złośliwy nawyk migrowania poza usta, tworząc malownicze, brokatowe wąsy :-) Są przy okazji tak niemiłosiernie twarde, że pocierając o siebie wargami mam wrażenie, że ktoś posypał mi je piaskiem, co zdecydowanie nie jest przyjemne. Noszę ją tylko w dni, kiedy chęć błysku motywuje mnie do częstego weryfikowania czy nie wyglądam jak złotodrobinowy wąsacz.

I don't think you can see it well on the photo above, but Maybelline 345 Plum Sunrise is also a quite deep and violet shade. It hydrates the lips quite well and makes them soft and shiny. Unfortunately you can't just put on a thin layer to tint your lips because the colour doesn't look very good being semi-transparent so you always need to apply several layers to get the perfect opaque look. It fades away quite quickly but what is worst about it is that all the beautiful golden glitter it contains loves to get everywhere, literally everywhere on your face! The "golden moustache effect" is just horrible :-) I still do like this lipstick but I hate that, like Spicy, it makes me look in my pocket mirror all the time.

Ma photo ne montre pas très bien la vraie couleur du Maybelline 345 Plum Sunrise qui est en réalité plus foncée et plus violette. Il hydrate très bien les lèvres et j'aime le confort qu'il donne, mais malheureusement il n'est pas portable en une seule couche car la couleur crée des patches. Il faut l'appliquer en plusieurs couches et en pleine opacité il est canon avec ses paillettes dorées qui brillent si joliment. Mais les mêmes paillettes sont aussi mon pire cauchemar parce qu'elles adorent migrer sur tout mon visage et créer un bel effet de "moustache dorée". Beurk.

I jeszcze Rimmel Apocalips 303 Apocaliptic. Po wielu świetnych recenzjach w internecie i ja skusiłam się na spróbowanie rimmelowego "lakieru" do ust... Kolor 303 jest niesamowity, bo w zależności od oświetlenia wpada w czerwone lub różowe tony (mogliście mnie zobaczyć w nim TUTAJ). Aplikator jest bardzo przyjemny w użyciu, trwałość zupełnie mnie zadowala, choć nie jest oszałamiająca. Kolor jest, owszem, bardzo mocny ale na ustach powstają mazy, które wyglądają jak niewprawnie malowane pędzlem, trzeba więc poświęcić mu więcej czasu niż tradycyjnym szminkom. Nawet przy cienkiej, ostrożnie nałożonej warstwie lubi wylać się poza kontur ust (szczególnie w kącikach), nieco je ściąga i... błyskawicznie się warzy. Jestem w kropce, bo większość recenzji, które czytałam, była bardzo pozytywna i nie wiem, czy po prostu nie trafiłam na wadliwy egzemplarz.

Podsumowując, wspomnianą trójkę bandytów wciąż używam i będę używać, bo świetne kolory pozwalają mi przymnąć oko na większość jakościowych niedociągnięć, poza tym nie lubię marnować produktów. Jeśli jednak nie dysponujecie sporą dozą cierpliwości zastanówicie się dobrze przed zakupem :-)

Last but not least, Rimmel Apocalips 303 Apocaliptic. I've read so many positive reviews online that I just had to get my hands on this little baby and give it a try. The shade 303 is incredible since it can look more red or pink depending on the light (you've already seen me wearing it HERE). I like the nicely shaped wand but I hate that it's hard to perfectly colour your lips with this product since it always leaves some horrible brush strokes making the application process really a pain in the bum. You really need to take your time to apply it. But even applied in just a thin layer it likes to smudge, especially in the corners of the lips, it makes them dry and the texture changes after a while in a strange way. I don't know, everyone seems to love it so maybe just the one I bought is faulty?

What I can say about all three of them is that I will continue wearing them anyway since I love these colours and I hate throwing away products. But I'm not as happy with them as I thought I'd be...

J'étais trop contente d'avoir acheté un Rimmel Apocalips dans la teinte 303 Apocaliptic, parce que j'ai lu tellement de critiques positives que j'étais trop impatiente de le tester moi-même. La teinte 303 est juste trop belle et peut paraître plus rouge ou plus rose selon la lumière (vous m'avez vu la porter sur les photos ICI). J'aime bien l'applicateur mais je n'aime vraiment pas qu'il soit très difficile à poser d'une façon homogène. Il faut vraiment prendre son temps et être patient. En plus, même si posé en une seule couche très fine, il aime bien filer dans le coin des lèvres et il les dessèche bien. Et... il peluche ! Je suis très surprise, car vu les critiques positives sur Internet je suis peut-être tombée sur un exemplaire défectueux ? 

Même si ces trois rouges à lèvres ont pas mal des défauts, je suis sûre de continuer à les porter car j'adore leurs couleurs et en plus je n'aime pas jeter les produits presque neufs. Mais si vous n'avez pas la même patience que moi, faites attention !

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I started collaborating with Secondhand Dandy and creating illustrations for his posts about men's fashion. Today I only show you the outlines of my drawings, but you can see them all in full colour on Secondhand Dandy's blog!

So far I illustrated three of his posts: Shoes part 1, Shoes part 2 and What to wear for your professonal training. They're in Polish only but I'm sure you can find a way to translate them using some online translators. They're really worth it!

Salut ! Aujourd'hui j'aimerais vous montrer les contours des illustrations liées à la mode masculine que j'ai réalisé pour Secondhand Dandy. Vous pouvez voir les illustrations finales en couleur sur son blog ! 

Pour l'instant j'ai illustré trois posts avec des conseils qui seront utiles pour tous les hommes souhaitant bien s'habiller: Chaussures vol. 1, Chaussures vol. 2 et Comment s'habiller lors d'un stage professionnel. Les posts sont uniquement en polonais mais ça vaut le coup de les traduire en utilisant des traducteurs en ligne.

Dzisiaj mam dla Was dość nietypowy post, bo rysunkowo-makijażowy :-) Nie wiem jak Wy, ale ja często robię moje makijaże na szybko, za każdym razem nieco eksperymentując i łącząc kolory w sposób zupełnie dowolny :-) Raz udają się lepiej, raz gorzej, czasem jednak jestem na tyle zadowolona, że nie chcę, aby dane połączenie kolorów uciekło mi z pamięci i staram się je "notować" na przygotowanym wcześniej rysunku mojego oka. To często okazuje się pomocne w momencie, kiedy nie mam pomysłu jak umalować oko - wystarczy sięgnąć do kolorowej ściągi i po sprawie :-) Na powyższym rysunku możecie zobaczyć dziewięć makijaży, które ostatnio noszę najczęściej. Poniżej opiszę każdy makijaż, a na końcu notki znajdziecie niespodziankę :-)

1. Jasnofioletowy cień na górnej powiece, zewnętrzny górny i dolny kącić podkreślone ciemnym fioletem, nieco mocnego błękitu na dole (mogliście zobaczyć go ostatnio TUTAJ).

2. Klasyczne smokey eye na górnej powiece z małym dodatkiem żółci, na dolnej powiece przejście żółci w zieleń i błękit, którym lekko wyciągam "jaskółkę".

3. Górna i dolna powieka z przejściem żółci w róż z zaznaczonym czernią zewnętrznym kącikiem, czarna kredka do połowy linii wodnej.

4. Załamanie powieki zaznaczone ciemniejszym, cielistym cieniem, na dolnej powiece roztarta kobaltowa kredka.

5. Załamanie powieki zaznaczone ciemniejszym, cielistym cieniem, na dolnej powiece roztarta zielona kredka, nieco roztartej, kobaltowej kredki przy górnej linii rzęs.

6. Czarna kredka roztarta przy górnej linii rzęs, przejście między zielenią i czernią (kredki) na dolnej powiece, linia wodna zaznaczona do połowy czernią.

7. Mój letni faworyt: metaliczny eyeliner w mocnym, morskoniebieskim kolorze na górnej powiece.

8. Klasyk: czarna kreska eyelinerem z jaskółką i przedłużonym wewnętrznym kącikiem, roztarta czerń na dolnej powiece i linia wodna do połowy zaznaczona czarną kredką.

9. Kobaltowa kreska z jaskółką wykonana eyelinerem i roztarta kredka w tym samym kolorze na dolnej powiece.

Today I've got for you a post that mixes together illustration and make-up! Every time I do my eye make-up I like to experiment with colours and mix them freely. Sometimes I get a good result, sometimes it's a bit less interesting and sometimes it's just so great that I like to create a little visual note not to forget how I mixed the colours. On the illustration above you can see a selection of nine eye make-ups I like to wear quite often at the moment :-) Below I'll tell you how I made them, and at the end of the post you'll have a little bonus waiting for you!

1. Bright violet eyeshadow mixed with the dark violet one on the upper lid, some bright blue and dark violet on the lower one. You've seen this look lately in my post HERE.

2. A classic smokey eye with a hint of yellow and a transition between yellow, green and blue on the lower lid. A little flick made with the blue eyeshadow :-)

3. A yellow to pink gradient on the lower and upper lid with the outside corner darkened with the black eyeshadow and a black eye pencil up to the half of the waterline.

4. Outside corner with a bit of darker, flesh-toned eyeshadow and a lower lid with a smudged, cobalt blue eyepencil.

5. Outside corner with a bit of darker, flesh-toned eyeshadow, lower lid with a smudged, green eyepencil and the upper lashline with a bit of a smudged cobalt eyepencil.

6. Upper lashline marked with a bit of smudged black eyepencil, a gradient of black and green smudged eyepencils on the lower lid and a black eyepencil up to the half of the waterline.

7. My summertime favourite: bright blue eyeliner on the upper lid.

8. Classic black eyeliner with a flick and an extended line in the inner corner of the eye. Lower lashline with a bit od black eyeshadow and a black eyepencil up to the half of the waterline.

9. Cobalt blue eyeliner with a flick and a smudged cobalt eyepencil on the lower lid.

Aujourd'hui j'ai pour vous une note qui mélange du maquillage et du dessin ! Quand je me maquille, très souvent je le fais sans réfléchir, je mélange les couleurs à volonté... Parfois le résultat final est bien, parfois c'est pas terrible et parfois je l'aime tellement que je prends des notes visuelles pour ne pas l'oublier. Sur l'illustration ci-dessus vous pouvez voir neuf types de maquillage que j'aime le plus en ce moment :-) Et à la fin de ma note vous trouverez un petit bonus rien que pour vous !

1. Une ombre à paupières de couleur violette pâle sur la paupière supérieure avec un peu de violet plus foncé dans le coin externe, dégradé du bleu vif au violet foncé sur la paupière inférieure.

2. Un smokey-eye avec une touche de jaune dans le coin interne, dégradé d'ombres à paupières sur la paupière inférieure: jaune, vert et bleu, avec une petit virgule bleue.

3. Un dégradé du rose au jaune sur les paupières, un peu d'ombre à paupières noire dans le coin externe, le crayon noir jusqu'à la moitié de la muqueuse.

4. Un peu d'ombre à paupières couleur chair (foncée) dans la banane, le crayon bleu cobalt estompé sur la paupière inférieure.

5. Un peu d'ombre à paupières couleur chair (foncée) dans la banane, le crayon vert estompé sur la paupière inférieure, un peu de crayon bleu cobalt estompé au ras des cils sur la paupière supérieure. 

6. Le ras des cils sur la paupière supérieure marqué avec le crayon noir estompé, un dégradé des crayons: vert et noir estompés sur la paupière inférieure, le crayon noir jusqu'à la moitié de la muqueuse.

7. Mon look préféré cet été: juste un trait d'eyeliner bleu électrique sur la paupière supérieure.

8. Un classique: un trait d'eyeliner noir sur la paupière supérieure un peu rallongé dans le coin interne et avec une virgule bien rétro. Un peu d'ombre à paupières noire sur la paupière inférieure et de crayon noir jusqu'à la moitié de la muqueuse.

9. Un trait d'eyeliner bleu cobalt avec une virgule rétro et le crayon bleu cobalt estompé sur la paupière inférieure.

A teraz minibonus-niespodzianka :-) Żeby nie było, że bawię się sama i nie chcę się dzielić :D złożyłam dla Was planszę z miejscem na sześć makijaży i ewentualne notatki dotyczące użytych przez Was kosmetyków. Jest w formacie A4, możecie pobrać ją klikając prawym przyciskiem myszy na obrazku, otwierając go w nowej zakładce w pełnym rozmiarze i zapisując na dysku. Planszę możecie wydrukować i do kolorowania użyć kredek lub bezpośrednio cieni do powiek, lub nie drukować i kolorować na komputerze :-) Mam nadzieję, że będzie przydatna!

Just use the right click on the image and open it in a new tab, then download and print to colour it with your colour pencils or directly with your eyeshadows! Et le temps est venu pour le petit bonus :-) J'ai préparé pour vous une image avec six contours des yeux et les lignes pour pouvoir noter les produits utilisés. Vous pouvez la télécharger en faisant un clic droit sur l'image, en l'ouvrant dans un nouvel onglet et en la sauvegardant sur votre disque dur. Ensuite vous pouvez l'imprimer et colorer avec les crayons ou directement avec vos ombres à paupières. Fashion Wednesday: Fringe and Hats

Nadeszła pora, abym wreszcie opowiedziała Wam o moich grzywkowych przygodach :-) Posiadanie grzywki chodziło za mną już od kilku lat, jednak nigdy nie mogłam się zdecydować. Zależało mi na grubej, gęstej grzwce, na rzecz której musiałabym poświęcić jedną trzecią włosów, co w moim przypadku nie wchodziło w grę. Również koszmarne wspomnienia z podstawówki, kiedy to mozolnie zapuszczałam ówczesną grzywencję (kolorowe spinki były wtedy moimi największymi sprzymierzeńcami!) bardzo ochłodziły moje fryzurowe zapędy. Nic jednak nie mogło zmienić faktu, że regularnie wzdychałam do oglądanych na zdjęciach grzywek i marzyłam o swojej...

Ponad rok temu zdecydowałam, że czas rozejrzeć się za dopinaną grzywką typu "clip in", zakasałam rękawy... i poległam. Przy moich wielokolorowych włosach znalezienie pasującego odcienia jest po prostu niemożliwe, poza tym większość dostępnych na rynku grzywek jest, niestety, syntetyczna i razi bardzo karnawałowym połyskiem. Temat zahibernował więc samoczynnie i powrócił w tym roku, kiedy to wreszcie udało mi się wypatrzeć grzywki z włosów naturalnych w całkiem sympatycznych cenach :-) Przyznam szczerze, że miało to być moje pierwsze doświadczenie z nie-moimi naturalnymi włosami i bałam się, że będę się ich po prostu... brzydzić. Bo nie moje. Bo martwe. 

Chęć zobaczenia siebie w innej fryzurze jednak zwyciężyła i zdecydowałam się na zamówienie najjaśniejszego koloru, ponieważ miałam zamiar zafarbować go na różowo. Kiedy jednak zobaczyłam się w blondzie - i odkryłam moje nowe oblicze, słodkie niczym armia kucyków Pony - nie miałam serca do farbowania :-) Mając już na głowie moje naturalne, ciemne włosy, różowe, blond i niebieskie pasemka, jasna grzywka tylko dopełniła całości. Ba! Wiem już, że kupię kolejne, w różnych kolorach i na pewno jeszcze (przynajmniej) jedną blond, aby jednak popróbować z farbowaniem na różowo lub niebiesko.

Dopinana grzywka przekonała mnie jednak, że dobrze zrobiłam nie obcinając własnych włosów. Za bardzo lubię siebie w obu wersjach by móc zdecydować się tylko na jedną :-) A jeszcze lepiej grzywka prezentuje się w towarzystwie nakryć głowy, tak jak dzisiaj: z kapeluszem olivierowym i moim nowym, dżokejskim skarbem!

Macie doświadczenia z dopinanymi grzywkami lub pasmami włosów? Co o nich sądzicie?

It's time to tell you something more about my little clip-in fringe! I've wanted to get myself a nice fringe for many years now but I couldn't accept that I would have to cut off at least one third of my hair to get the perfect fringe. What is more, as a kid I already had my bangs cut and I still remember how long it was to grow them back and how annoying it got after a while. But well, I kept on dreaming about a fringe anyway...

One year ago I started searching for the perfect clip-in fringe online, but I quickly got fed up. Mostly synthetic hair, shining like a cheap wig? That's not my thing, really. I was really disappointed. And finally just few weeks ago I succeeded to find the Perfect Clip-In Fringe made with natural, human hair and for a very reasonable price! I bought the fairest colour possible since I wanted to dye it pink to match the rest of my hair as much as possible, but when I tried it on and saw my little Pony-like face I just had to leave it blond :-) For now I know that I will surely get myself more of these in many different colours and I will also buy at least one or two blond ones too, to dye them pink and blue. And lavender!

But you know what, being finally able to try out the fringe I'm glad I never decided to cut my hair since I really like myself in both versions: with and without bangs. And the great thing it that this little precious fringe looks so cute with my hats on! I think that today's photos show it well :-) I tried it on with my Olivier's hat and my new little baby black one!

Le moment est venu de vous parler de ma petite frange clip-in ! Depuis des années je voulais une frange mais la perspective de me faire couper au moins un tiers de mes cheveux pour avoir une frange bien épaisse était juste trop effrayante. En plus, je garde bien en mémoire le souvenir de la frange que j'avais étant gamine et du cauchemar que j'ai vécu pour la faire repousser. C'était horrible ! Mais bon, j'avais tellement envie de changer un peu de coiffure...

Il y a un an j'ai commencé les recherches d'une frange de type clip-in qui pourrait me convenir, mais, malheureusement, en vain. La majorité des franges étaient fabriquées avec des cheveux synthétiques... et ça faisait vraiment cheap. Mais vraiment, vraiment cheap... J'ai réussi à oublier ce sujet mais il est réapparu cette année quand j'ai finalement trouvé une frange parfaite en cheveux naturels pour un prix correct :-) Au début, j'avoue, j'avais des doutes parce que la perspective de toucher des cheveux morts qui appartenait à quelqu'un d'autre me faisait peur. Mais je me suis habitué assez vite quand même :-)

J'ai commandé une frange dans la couleur la plus pâle possible pour pouvoir la teindre en rose, mais en l'essayant j'ai trop kiffé l'effet "petit Poney trop mignon" :-) Après plusieurs semaines je peux dire avec certitude: j'en achèterai d'autres dans des teintes différentes, c'est sûr ! En plus je veux également en commander une ou deux en blond clair pour les teindre moi-même en rose, bleu... ou lavande... :-)

Je suis quand même ravie que je ne me suis pas décidée à vraiment me couper la frange parce que je m'aime bien dans les deux versions :-) Et avec ma petite clip-in je peux changer de look tous le jours ! En plus, elle est vraiment merveilleuse portée avec des chapeaux, comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos de ce post :-)   Trop la classe !

Est ce que vous avez déjà testé les franges clip-in ou d'autres types d'extensions en cheveux naturels ? Qu'en pensez-vous?
